Our Funky Trunks F-Teamers are set to bring the heat to European Juniors in Kazan, Russia when racing kicks off this week. Taking place from July 3-7, young guns Archie Goodburn, Daniel Wiffen and Jacob Whittle have made their way to Russia and are ready to race.

Having already represented Team GB at the 2018 European Juniors and the 2017 European Youth Olympic festival, Archie Goodburn is no stranger to international racing. Last year he came away from Finland with silver and bronze European Junior Champs medals in relay events but this year he is after more success on his own.

"I'm really looking forward to racing in Kazan and seeing if I can improve on my results from last year. I was 0.09 away from a medal in the 50 Breaststroke so to build on my experience it would be nice to win an individual medal."

Archie is also one of 7 British swimmers selected to compete at both European Juniors and World Junior Champs in August. This makes European Juniors an important event for Archie to get some extra race experience under his belt before he heads to Hungary next month.

Irish Junior Record Holder Daniel Wiffen is bringing Funky vibes to European Juniors.

Another F-Teamer who will be double dipping in both European Juniors and World Juniors is recent F-Team recruit Daniel Wiffen. Distance events are Daniel's forte so he'll be taking on the 800 and 1500 Free in Kazan. He currently holds the Irish Junior National Record in the 800 Free with a time of 8:16.79 so that will be a major focus for him.

Jacob Whittle has his eye on Kazan!

Jacob Whittle, the world's fastest 14 year old in the 100 Free, will also be making an appearance at European Juniors, his first international competition representing Team GB. He will be racing in the 50 and 200 Free, 50 Fly and of course the 100 Free, the event where he holds the world record (14yo) with a time of 50.40. Jacob's race suit of choice is the Funky Trunks APEX Predator because it is "by far the best I have ever tried." He was particularly impressed with the compression, having it support the quads and loves that it "gives me loads more spring off the block while still being extremely comfortable and great to wear for long sessions at a meet."
