Three F-Teamers Selected for Team GB
Funky Trunks is excited to announce that three F-Teamers have been selected to represent Team GB after their stellar performances at the recent British Swimming Championships. Max Litchfield will race at the World Championships in Budapest this July, and Elliot Clogg and Jacob Peters will compete at the World Junior Championships in the US in August. Here's a wrap-up of the top results from the UK F-Team!

Max Litchfield
The first UK F-Teamer to qualify for the World Championships was Rio Olympian Max Litchfield who booked his ticket to Budapest after winning gold in the 400m Individual Medley in a new British record time of 4:10.63. His time was a second faster than his swim in Rio where he placed fourth.
Max stamped his authority in the medley races when he also won gold in the 200m Individual Medley (1:58.10). He also came third in the 400m freestyle (3:46.20) and fifth in the 200m freestyle (1:47.50).
"It couldn't have gone much better from my perspective. The aim was to qualify for the 400 IM so to do that and have the bonus of swimming well on my other events is very promising. The crowd were awesome all week and I couldn't have asked for better support."
To compete in Budapest won't require any major alterations to the City of Sheffield swimmer's training plan, only a few tweaks to ensure his best performance in the races.
"For me the next few months is just about putting the 1% changes in place that will make a huge difference in the summer."

Elliot Clogg
One of Max's City of Sheffield team mates, Elliot Clogg bought the Funky Trunks F-Teamer quota on Team GB up to two after a huge week where he won four gold medals and one silver. Elliot's gold medals came from the 200m free (1:49.37), 100m free (50.08), 50m free (23.18) and 100m backstroke (55.62).
For 17-year-old Elliot, the selection onto Team GB for the World Junior Championships is a step closer towards his goal to medal at the World Junior Championships.
Joe Litchfield
18-year-old European Junior Champion Joe Litchfield joined big bro Max on the podium for the 400m Individual Medley when he won bronze and set a new personal best time of 4:19.20. Joe placed fourth in the 200m butterfly (1:59.28) and came seventh in the 200m Individual Medley (2:00.85).

Jacob Peters
After a gold medal in the 200m butterfly (2:00.65), 17-year-old Jacob Peters was selected for his debut World Junior Championships. The Poole Swimming Club swimmer also placed sixth in the 100m fly (55.07).
Congrats to all the F-Teamers who raced at the British Championships, we can't wait to see what you have in-store for the rest of the year!
